The Road to Freedom

G'day, my name is my name is Bruce Robertson and this is Pirate Philosophy, the channel in which I describe a new and exciting approach to philosophy.

The big news is that my new book is out. "The Road to Freedom - A Philosophical Journey in Search of Understanding". The book is based upon the 30 videos I have posted on this channel.

It goes to the very heart of philosophical thinking and delves far beneath the level of language.

The journey starts at the depths of thinking with the separation of mind from matter. It then proceeds to ask the fundamental question: 'By what logical process can be very first concept be produced from nothing more than a logical processor and sense-data? The answer to this is the logical process of pattern identification. It then proceeds to show how this leads to decision-making and the emergence of consciousness. From this firm foundation it leads to new insights into the nature of science, mathematics and language. From there it it discusses understanding, laughter and ultimately freedom.

It is written in a clear and simple style that is accessible to everyone. It would appeal to anyone who has an interest in philosophy and the logical processes of thinking.

I contend that it is an important and groundbreaking book that has the potential to improve people's lives.

It constitutes a paradigm shift when compared to the old way of thinking about philosophy. As such, many people may find its ideas challenging. Nevertheless I have confidence that its clarity and deep logic will enable people to appreciate its merits.
